Great Lakes Chemical Corp is to increase the price for pentabromodiphenyl oxide-based flame retardants by 10% in the European region from 15th September 2003 The company reports that the new pricing for pentabromodiphenyl oxide-based flame retardants - Great Lakes DE-71, Great Lakes DE-60F Special, Great Lakes DE-61 and Great Lakes DE-62 - reflects the increased raw material and regulatory costs associated with the product line

These products provide the highest level of flame retardant performance for flexible polyurethane foam applications such as commercial furnishings and automotive foams.
