Julia Moore has been appointed Director of the Gauge and Toolmakers Association.

Julia Moore has been appointed Director of the Gauge and Toolmakers Association.

Moore, who has held the position of Executive Manager for the past three years, and is therefore already well known to both member companies and associated organisations, was promoted to the new position on 1st September.

Moore brings to her appointment a knowledge of UK engineering gathered not only during her experience at the GTMA, but also from previous roles, both in an engineering trade association and as a partner in a North London Engineering Company.

Roger Onions, President of the GTMA, commented, "We are delighted to have appointed Julia to this crucial role.

She has already demonstrated her ability to promote the Association and its members' interests and her determination to take up the issues that matter to UK engineering.

We wish her every success".

Moore has made a significant impact in raising the profile and extending the effectiveness of the association through successful participation in European funded projects such as emould@work and Fastool.

"Now, more than ever, trade associations can provide real benefits to their members", she explains.

"In a constantly changing world it is vital that the GTMA continues to extend its services and broaden its membership to encompass the new technologies and markets.

The GTMA exists to serve its members, my role is to make sure that it does".
