On 23rd June, the GTMA, supported by Advantage West Midlands, is holding a medical technology day, kindly hosted by Ceram Technology, at its Research Centre in Stoke on Trent.

On 23rd June, the GTMA, supported by Advantage West Midlands, is holding a medical technology day, kindly hosted by Ceram Technology, at its Research Centre in Stoke on Trent.

Representatives from leading companies, including Agie Charmilles, Carrs Toolsteels Technologies, Ceram Metal Technologies, CG Tech, Materialise and Seco Tools, will be discussing how the latest advances in technology are revolutionising engineering in medicine.

Topics under discussion will include opportunities in medical engineering, micromachining, high speed and hybrid tooling for medical applications, product innovation through new tooling materials, special surface treatments and the application of digital medical modelling and CNC simulation in this sector.

There will also be an exhibition and demonstration area where representatives of companies including: Rudolph Carne and Co, HK Technologies, Husky Injection Moulding Systems, Surface Enhancement Technologies, Tecvac (a Wallwork company) and Vero International Software UK, will be available to discuss the medical application of their technologies.

Contact the GTMA to register for the event, which opens at 0930 BST for coffee and registration, closes at 1500, and includes a buffet lunch.
