In his new role, he will hold principal responsibilities for design and development of custom-engineered component handling mechanisms, as well as equipment installation and on-site customer support.
According to Gudel UK's joint managing director, Gary Ottley: "Supplying top quality products is not enough to guarantee success in today's competitive market place.

John's appointment demonstrates our commitment to fulfilling customers' requirements - so that they can achieve the maximum return on their investment." Born and educated in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, John Adkins was apprenticed at Coventry-based machine tool manufacturer, Alfred Herbert before becoming the company's youngest ever section leader at the age of 24.
He was a key member of the team that designed the company's D C Huskey CNC lathe and subsequently expanded his automotive engineering experience by specialising in the reconditioning of diesel engines for agricultural applications.
He joins Gudel from the Manufacturing Mastery department of Federal Mogul Technology Ltd of Rugby, where, as Principal Design Engineer, he headed teams designing special purpose machines for the production of a wide range of automotive engine components.
Married with two grown-up sons, John Adkins continues to live in Nuneaton and lists gardening and carp fishing among his leisure pursuits.
