Parts handling and automation equipment specialist Gudel Lineartec is expanding its UK operations by relocating to brand new premises in the west of Coventry.

Gudel Lineartec is expanding its UK operations by relocating to brand new premises in the west of Coventry.

The company's new Wickmans Drive facility, off Banner Lane, is four times the size of its previous site at Binley Industrial Estate; underlining Gudel 's growth since it was established in the city in the early 1990s.

"By winning major contracts for component handling systems, primarily from motor industry customers, we have increased sales year-on-year for the past six years," says joint Managing Director, Gary Ottley.

"More recently, we have developed new, leading edge products and diversified our customer base by securing numerous orders in the pharmaceutical, food handling and precision engineering sectors.

As a result, we have simply outgrown our previous site." The new building provides more than 10,000 square feet of space.

This will allow further expansion of Gudel's recently-enlarged engineering services department, as well as increased stock holding of spares - ensuring the company maintains the highest levels of customer support for its products.

In addition, the extra space permits the assembly and prove-out of larger turnkey systems prior to shipment to customers.

"It also provides room for several new developments that we already have in the pipeline," Mr Ottley continues.

"With demand in the automation sector continuing to show strong growth, I am confident that our new UK headquarters will play an important role in accelerating sales across our full range of precision component handling solutions in the future.".
