Rapindex press transfer machinery now from Gudel
The acquisition of Michigan-based Rapindex Inc by Gudel AG has extended the comapny's range of advanced multi-axis gantry loading systems, automation equipment and press transfer machinery
Full three-axis interpolation ensures the systems' suitability for even the most complex 3D components, while the use of precision ballscrews and servo drives provides accurate positioning in all three planes - for consistent sealant bead width, optimum raw material utilisation and guaranteed assembly quality.
Feed rates up to 1m/s are easily programmed into the controller, along with multiple start/stop signals for intermittent bead application cycles.
In addition, fast-response light guards ensure the highest levels of operator protection, as well as unrestricted access for easy component loading and unloading.
Providing a highly cost-effective method of accurately dispensing sealant or similar materials, the Gudel units can be supplied as stand-alone systems, or integrated with sophisticated work handling modules into fully automated production lines.
They can also be custom-engineered to provide both four- and five-axis capabilities for applications requiring the delivery head to be maintained normal to the workpiece throughout the operating cycle.
Furthermore, these latest positioning modules can be easily adapted for drilling, polishing, routing, machining or other assembly operations.
Gudel's sealant dispensers mirror the company's modular design philosophy, which enables linear-axis handling systems to be produced with up to 100m x-axis and 10m y-axis runs as standard.
They are also backed by in-depth product selection advice, as well as a dedicated installation and applications engineering service from Gudel's Coventry-based technical support team.
