Rapindex press transfer machinery now from Gudel
The acquisition of Michigan-based Rapindex Inc by Gudel AG has extended the comapny's range of advanced multi-axis gantry loading systems, automation equipment and press transfer machinery
As a result, Gudel's new systems integration portfolio will be underpinned by three key areas of expertise.
First, the company's 50 year track record of supplying high accuracy parts positioning and manipulation systems into industries as diverse as automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, logistics, end-of line processing, warehousing, defence equipment and food manufacture will continue to be backed by Gudel's vast range of multi-axis gantry positioning technology and advanced component handling solutions, such as Roboflex and RoboLoop systems.
These capabilities will be matched by the resources and product ranges available through a number of recently-forged collaborative partnerships with other automation experts, including Kuka, Toshiba Machine Robotics and Schunk.
Finally, the partners' combined expertise will be coordinated and supported by Gudel's UK based design team and wealth of in-house applications engineering, integration and project management expertise.
"By bringing these skills together at a single point of contact, we will provide customers with the benefits of shorter lines of communication and project lead times, as well as reduced overall costs", comments Gudel's joint Managing Director, Gary Ottley.
"It is an important step forward for our company; as well as a natural progression".
"It means that customers can be totally confident in our abilities to design, develop and engineer turnkey installations which integrate third party equipment - such as special purpose conveyor systems and purpose-designed component grippers - with customised controls, wiring and software, to meet the most demanding of operating requirements".
"We are also recruiting additional sales and engineering staff to underpin our expanded activities, in order to ensure that the performance and reliability of our hardware will be matched by the very best in customer support".
