Appointment to make mark on northern
sales
Coventry-based systems integration company appoints Area Sales Manager for the north of the UK with responsibilities for developing sales of the company's automation and work handling products.
Coventry-based systems integration company Gudel has appointed Mark Howlett as its Area Sales Manager for the north of the UK With more than 15 years sales and applications engineering experience within the machine tool, automotive, pharmaceuticals and motion control systems sectors, Howlett joins Gudel with responsibilities for developing sales of the company's automation and work handling products at existing and new accounts

Born in Hull, Howlett was educated in Keighley before completing an engineering apprenticeship with precision grinding equipment manufacturer Landis Lund.
He subsequently took up his first sales role with Bradford Cylinders, where he was responsible for managing UK and overseas accounts as well as business development for the company's hydraulic and pneumatic rotary and linear actuators.
In 1999, he moved to bearing and linear motion equipment producer THK as Senior Sales Engineer.
Within five years he had increased his territory sales by more than 900% and, in 2004, was appointed UK Sales Manager for Leeds-based anti-corrosive coatings firm Corrocoat, responsible for an 11-strong sales force.
Single and living in Oakworth, West Yorkshire, he lists mountain biking, swimming and squash among his leisure activities.
