Selection guide for drive system components

A Gudel UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 16, 2006

Updated free 360-page selection guide provides detailed specification data across complete range of drive system components.

To mark the availability of its 2006 range, Gudel UK has updated its free 360-page selection guide, which provides detailed specification data across its complete range of drive system components.

In addition, the company's recently-updated web site - www.gudel.com - features a fast developer on-line tool that lets users quickly select, configure and order high precision worm gearboxes.

The web site also provides instant access to fully specified 3D CAD models of Gudel's precision drive components, which can be downloaded on demand to users' desktops.

These facilities are backed by an applications engineering service and customer support helpline - enabling the most appropriate product for customers' automation or precision work handling needs to be specified quickly and accurately.

Gudel has extended its range of precision linear and drive technology components for machine tool, automation and special machine building applications.

The latest additions cover the firm's range of precision drive pinions, racks, rollers, carriages and guideways and are suited to installations demanding high speed, high acceleration or precise positioning of components weighing up to several hundred kilograms.

Produced in module and metric sizes up to module 8.0 and 20mm pitch, the company's drive pinions ensure high accuracy and low backlash operation when used with Gudel's matched series of straight or helical form rack units.

Racks are available in steel in precision cut, precision cut and hardened, or hardened and ground options capable of withstanding loads up to 50kN.

They are also offered in stainless steel and various special finishes to combat aggressive or corrosive operating environments.

A further range of low-cost injection moulded polyoximethylen rack units is provided for light to medium duty applications.

All racks are made to close tolerances, ready for use in continuous runs without modification.

In addition, they can be supplied with pre-drilled mounting holes for rapid fixing.

Complementing its rack and pinion ranges is the company's heavy duty plain and grooved rollers and guideways.

A selection of low backlash worm gear and bevel drive units is also offered so users can engineer complete systems for component handling and automation.

All Gudel equipment is manufactured to ISO 9001.
