The capabilities of Gudel's proven worm gear units have recently been extended through a new series of planetary gearboxes for high dynamic applications.
The five-strong range features an innovative two-stage drive gear arrangement which results in an exceptionally compact design with low mechanical inertia and a torque range of 250-6000Nm.
In parallel, the SmartMotor is a complete, compact and user-friendly motion control system that integrates a brushless DC servomotor, motion controller, encoder and amplifier into a single unit.
Easy-to-program SmartMotors provide precise servo motion and industrial control across the widest spectrum of industrial applications, including factory automation, food processing lines, filling, labelling, medical equipment, packaging, machine tools, semi-conductor handling, industrial printing and automated assembly work.
"The new partnership enables each company to build on its existing strengths and product ranges", says Mark Howlett, Head of Gudel's Power Transmissions Division.
"The SmartMotor, backed by EURMotion's long experience of linear actuators, servos, steppers and automation control systems, perfectly complements our own range of linear and drive technology components, which covers everything from racks, pinions, rails and rollers, to gearboxes, carriages and guideway products".
"Likewise, the proven quality and performance of its products makes Gudel an ideal partner for us", comments EURMotion's Managing Director Gordon Watson.
"What's more, the extensive sales and service infrastructures of both our companies - along with our team of experienced applications engineering specialists - enable us to provide local customer support to users throughout the UK".
