Washer cleans up on aluminium components

A Guyson International product story

Guyson International has developed a compact rotary-table hot aqueous wash machine for fast efficient cleaning of small aluminium automotive components.

The components are retained in a fixtured grid and subjected to hot wash and blow off with a very critical triple filtering system ensuring removal of all particulates.

The body and front access door of the machine are manufactured in stainless steel, with the front sliding door opening fully to give maximum access to the 630 x 300mm chamber inside the machine.

The components are placed on the fixtured rotating table and spray washed by a series of jets, which are positioned above, below and to the side of the turntable.

The internal spoked rotating table is chain driven and components pass through a curtain of hot aqueous cleaning solution discharged from strategically mounted high-pressure jets.

These are fed by a high-velocity stainless-steel pump delivering 100 litres a minute - enough to clean the most stubborn machining stains and clear swarf from channels.

The cleaning solution is returned to the wash tank though a basket filter, then through 100um inline filter with washable element and finally through a 25um filter with disposable element to guarantee cleanliness.

The system is also equipped with a compressed air blow off system above the components for drying and to help with reducing their temperature.

The "process complete" light, low water level and wash and air dry timers are located in a highly visible position at the front of the machine for ease of use.
