Gefran inverters have energy recovery technology

A Gefran SIEI UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 23, 2008

Gefran's Avry series inverters feature built-in 'clean power' energy recovery technology for both new and existing lift drive applications.

The Avry works for both synchronous and asynchronous, geared or gearless motors up to 15kW.

The Avry drive features unity power factor operation with harmonic distortion less than four per cent - meeting the requirements for low harmonic regulations.

Available in three power ranges with rated input of 12, 22 and 29kVA, and with input voltages from 3 x 400V AC to 3 x 480VA, the Avry can also be supplied for single-phase, 230V AC on request.

Aimed specifically at the lift industry with a keypad and menu driven set-up including 'real unit' lift parameters, the Avry includes dedicated elevator features such as lift sequence, lift mechanical parameterisation, ramp generation and landing control.

The Avry also includes space vector modulation for quiet operation and is suited to geared and gearless lift applications up to 5m/sec and beyond.

The drive enclosure has screw terminal strip connections for installation and an optional fieldbus connection is made possible with expansion cards for Interbus-S, Profibus-DP, Genius, Canopen or Devicenet.
