Online materials testing will save time and money

Exeter Advanced Technologies announces the launch of Analysis OnLine at the University of Exeter on 28th March 2001.

This ground breaking facility uses the internet to expand materials testing capabilities for clients world-wide.

The launch sees the unveiling of Analysis OnLine, as well as a new Electronics Centre and a new Materials Science Facility.

Analysis OnLine was set up to make materials testing more accessible and cost-effective to a wider group of clients.

In its simplest form, the client dispatches a sample to the facility, then the laboratory staff perform the test.

Full accessibility via an interactive viewer means the customer can interact during the different stages of testing and simply wait for the results to arrive.

This flexibility saves the client time and ultimately costs of visiting the laboratory.

Renowned materials testing specialists Ametek Lloyd Instruments, a senior partner with Exeter, has supplied a range of materials testing equipment and Nexygen data analysis software for the Analysis OnLine laboratory.

This includes the 300kN capacity LR300K general purpose tester, the cost-effective 20kN capacity EasyTest EZ20 tester, and dedicated polymer testing equipment by Davenport.

Other partners providing equipment for the facility include Netszch Instruments, Bruker UK Ltd, TA Instruments, Mettler-Toledo and more.
