To strengthen its position in the field of materials testing, Lloyd Instruments has acquired servo hydraulic testing specialist DN Testing Systems from Plint and Partners Servo hydraulic testing machines from DN Testing will now be marketed under the Lloyd Instruments brand

This will secure future development in this area, and build on DN Testing's enviable reputation for quality, applications expertise and service.

New and existing customers will continue to benefit from acclaimed technical expertise in servo hydraulic hardware, software support and a service recognised to ISO17025 standards.

Lloyd Instruments is offering new service and maintenance contracts, and instrument upgrades not only for existing DN Testing machines but also for dynamic machines from other manufacturers.

Upgrades, which combine control electronics with powerful software built neatly into a PC system, offer unique control for increased efficiency, reliability and seamless automation - ideal for production plants, for example.

Customers will also benefit from the imminent launch of a new Windows-based software version for even greater control and analysis.

Servo hydraulic testing machines are used in product characterisation applications such as product development, production testing, and QA as well as in impact and fatigue/endurance testing.

DN servo hydraulic machines have gained a lead position in supplying the elastomers and automotive markets for many years.

Other sectors to benefit include aerospace, packaging, civil engineering, and rubber.

Excited by the move, Lloyd Instruments is now in a much stronger position to build on previous ventures in the servo testing market.

It will also bridge the gap in the company's current product offering that includes single and twin column universal testing machines, advanced ISO TickIT accredited Nexygen MT data analysis and control software, Davenport polymer test instruments and Chatillon force measurement solutions.
