Test speeds range from 0.05 to 1270mm/min (accuracy greater than 1% at full load) and unlike other machines on the market, this machine features a deep 170mm throat and generous working area to accommodate larger than average sized samples.
Also on show will be the powerful 10kN LR10KPlus twin column testing machine, Davenport MFI-10 melt flow indexer for automated melt flow and melt volume rate polymer testing, and Nexygen MT advanced materials testing software with its built in test library, flexible user interface and comprehensive user security and audit trails.
Typical plastics industry applications include tensile, compression, tear, peel, friction and flexure testing of plastic components and raw materials.
This includes tensile strength tests of plastic film, compressive strength and actuation force of keyboards and keypads, insertion and extraction forces of computer components, as well as strength tests on wrapping, packaging, credit cards, sealing tape, adhesives, sealants and rubber.
Lloyd Instruments' engineers have also developed a special fixture to test the strength of electrical cable casings whilst simultaneously checking electrical conductivity.
Test machines from the Davenport range are designed to evaluate the physical properties of polymers, such as melt flow and HDT/VICAT.
