UK spring maker joins European group
The Lesjofors Group of Companies, one of Europe's largest and most diverse manufacturers of springs, has acquired specialist UK spring maker Harris Springs.

Harris Springs will not be changing its name or its management team.
The company will continue to be managed by Philip Harris, the current Managing Director.
It will be offering the same quality of service combined with a much wider product range manufactured in other Lesjofors factories around the globe.
By investing in areas such as machinery, Lesjofors plans to expand Harris Springs' operation with the goal of obtaining strong growth in the sale of industrial springs during the forthcoming years.
Managing Director, Philip Harris, said: "As part of the Lesjofors Group we will now be in an even stronger position to provide UK spring buyers with a total spring solution and at a more competitive price".
Lesjofors has operated in the UK for more than 15 years and operates from a brand new state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Elland, Halifax.
The purpose built 2300m2 facility houses more than 200,000 units at any one time.
Commenting on the acquisition, Robert Glynn, Lesjofors UK Managing Director said: "The acquisition of Harris Springs gives us a local manufacturing presence and, in a sector accustomed to a rapid turnaround of product, ensures we service customers with greater speed and efficiency".

Lesjofors is a global company, headquartered in Sweden, specialising in the development, manufacturing and distribution of all types of springs.
The company has been manufacturing springs since 1852 and this currently takes place in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Korea and China with service and sales organisations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and UK.
The Lesjofors Group has been certified to ISO9001 quality for many years and most of its companies have been awarded ISO 14001.
