A chemical compatibility and resistance chart available from the Hargraves website offers advice on the selection of materials for specific fluidic applications.

Miniature diaphragm pumps, vacuum pumps, micro air compressors and solenoid valves are composed of plastics, elastomers and metal components that interact with a wide range of fluid media depending on the application The selection of materials that comprise the wetted components of a fluidic system needs to be reviewed for compatibility with the gas or liquid media to be employed

Depending on the type and aggressiveness of the media interacting with these components, swelling, reduced life, decreased performance or catastrophic failure could occur.

The applications engineering team at Hargraves Technology has developed a chemical compatibility and resistance chart that should be referenced to properly select materials for specific fluidic applications.

A PDF version is available for download from the Hargraves website.
