Mini coaxial connector offers 4GHz performance
The new Mini Coax+ from Harting is a miniature coaxial multi-pole connector designed to provide high-integrity signal transmission between backplanes and daughter boards at frequencies up to 4GHz.
The use of Han-Brid not only provides interference-free signal transmission but also leads to reduced installation times and ease of maintenance.
The connector is designed to carry both power and signal interfaces, and can include up to five power inserts rated at 10 A, 24 V as well as the two signal inserts and optical-fibre links.
The connector is available as a standard passive cabling connector, or as an active version which incorporates an isolated PCB-mounted DC/DC convertor, allowing it to be used for active bus termination.
The new connector can be used with all common Fieldbus systems, and is standardised for use with Desina and Profibus.
Han-Brid is compatible with industry-standard hoods and housings in Harting's HAN family, including versions with extra EMC protection as well as sealing to IP65, IP67 or IP68.
