A new range of valve connectors featuring the Harax rapid termination system has been introduced by Harting.

The new connectors offer the scope for dramatic reductions in installation time and costs in applications such as solenoid valves in pneumatic and hydraulic systems or sensors in process instrumentation and control.

The Harax rapid termination system uses axial insulation displacement technology to reduce installation time by up to 50%.

Installation simply involves removing the outer insulation of the cable, attaching the Harax connector assembly, and tightening a screw cap.

Not only is connection performed automatically, but the finished joint offers full strain relief as well as sealing to IP67.

In addition, the Harax design allows cables to be terminated externally without the need to remove the connector housing, thus making termination easier and quicker.

The valve connectors are available in three different versions: Type A to DIN standard EN-175301-803; Type B to the industry standard; and Type C to the EN-175301-803 miniature specification.

Rated current is 6 A for Types A and B and 3 A for Type C, and protection is provided to IP67.
