Harting has introduced a new version of its Han 3A industrial connector incorporating the company's Harax rapid termination system.

The Harax termination is fitted onto the connector's rear and is supplied as a complete unit, eliminating the need for assembly of insert, hood and cable gland.

It greatly simplifies the installation of the connector in drive systems and industrial networks, and also makes it possible to produce cable-to-cable connections quickly and easily The Harax rapid termination system uses axial insulation displacement technology to reduce installation time by up to 60%.

Installation simply involves removing the outer insulation of the cable, attaching the Harax connector assembly, and tightening a screw cap.

Not only is connection performed automatically, but the finished joint offers full strain relief as well as sealing to IP67.

Reconnection can be carried out up to ten times.

The Han 3A connector is rated at up to 10A and 250V, and is available in male and female versions.
