The new Mini Coax+ from Harting is a miniature coaxial multi-pole connector designed to provide high-integrity signal transmission between backplanes and daughter boards at frequencies up to 4GHz.
With the new rapid termination system, cable can be terminated quickly and securely to the connectors, eliminating the need for fixed-length pre-assembled cable with its inherent problems of waste and bundling of excess cable.
The Harax rapid termination system uses axial insulation displacement technology to reduce installation time by up to 50%.
Installation simply involves removing the outer insulation of the cable, attaching the Harax connector assembly, and tightening a screw cap.
Not only is connection performed automatically, but the finished joint offers full strain relief as well as sealing to IP67.
The right-angled M12 circular connector complements Harting's existing M12 range and is available in 3- and 4-pin male and female versions, with maximum voltage and current ratings of 32V and 3A, respectively.
