A new range of industrial cage-clamp terminals that offer ease of termination as well as the ability to withstand higher voltages has been introduced by Harting.

The Han ES New Generation range replaces the separate modular inserts of earlier versions with a single-piece low-profile construction with easy access for both the cable and a screwdriver.

As a result, insertion and termination is straightforward, making it possible to ensure a vibration-proof assembly quickly and easily.

The new unit, which can be used with wire gauges from 0.14 to 2.5mm2, is 100% mateable with Harting's existing Han ES range, and incorporates creepage and clearance sufficient to meet the VDE (500V) and the UL/CSA (600V) voltage requirements.

Other features include printed indication of the tool and entry points to ease termination, a separate coding pin, reduced termination forces, and side cable entry giving good access to single wires even if the connector is fully terminated.

Versions are available with 6, 10, 16 or 24 pins.
