Industrial connectors take more current
Han-Compact from Harting is a new compact industrial connector that will accept any single insert from the company's Han-Modular range.
Han-Compact from Harting is a new compact industrial connector that will accept any single insert from the company's Han-Modular range The new connector is particularly suited to industrial applications where high-current (over 20A) power connections need to be made in harsh environments (Pollution Degrees 2 or 3) where limited space is available
Typical applications include power-supply connection in rack-mountable power distribution units and uninterruptible power supplies.
The standard single-phase Han-Compact connector features a two-contact first-mate/last-break ground connection, and is available with straight or side-entry hoods for panel mounting or cable-to-cable connection.
A locking lever can be mounted on the cable side.
A four-pole insert for three-phase applications is currently under development.
