A novel USB port allows portable computer devices such as laptop PCs, printers and webcams to be linked to industrial networks and control systems in harsh environments.

A novel USB port allows portable computer devices such as laptop PCs, printers and webcams to be linked to industrial networks and control systems in harsh environments.

The new Han-Brid USB interface is mounted externally to the control cabinet wall and utilises the industry-proven Han 3A housing which ensures sealing to IP65 and offers good mechanical protection for harsh industrial areas.

The ability to mount the Han-Brid USB directly to a control cabinet allows the user to connect peripheral devices without the need to open the cabinet door.

By using a standard housing cover, an IP65 rating can be maintained when a device is not connected.

The new USB interface, which is designed for panel feedthrough applications, is part of Harting's industry proven Han-Brid connector range.
