A ratchet-based crimp tool has been introduced by Harting to speed the installation of the company's Han range of industrial connectors An important feature of the new tool is that it incorporates a locator that can be used with Han C, D and E connectors, eliminating the need for the user to have separate locators for each type
The ratchet mechanism ensures constant crimp quality by preventing the tool from closing before the crimping jaws are fully opened or opening before the crimp cycle is fully completed.
The tool can be used with wire sizes from 0.14 to 4.0mm2 cross-sectional area.
