Harting restructures UK operations
Interconnect technology group Harting has restructured its UK operations in Northampton with the creation of a new company, Harting UK, to act as the holding company for two operating entities.
Interconnect technology group Harting has restructured its UK operations in Northampton with the creation of a new company, Harting UK, which will act as the holding company for two operating entities: Harting, the existing UK sales subsidiary; and Harting Integrated Solutions, a completely new legal entity which covers the backplane manufacturing operations As a result of the restructuring, Peter Hannon has been appointed Managing Director of Harting, with responsibility for all sales and marketing activities for the UK and Irish markets

At the same time, Paul Atkinson has been appointed Operations Director of Harting Integrated Solutions (HIS), which is colocated on the Northampton site.
HIS designs and manufactures high-complexity, mixed-technology multilayer backplanes, offering a complete in-house capability with total "value chain" differentiation.
Products manufactured by HIS, which also has manufacturing operations in China and the USA, are sold to Harting subsidiaries worldwide and via the Harting sales and distribution network in the UK and Ireland.
