Han Easy-Hood has been developed in response to the ongoing trend towards installations using different and complex cable variants in a single connector.

Han Easy-Hood from Harting is a new industrial connector hood designed to offer a versatile connectivity solution in applications where complex cable variants and large cable diameters have to be accommodated in a single connector.

The new product has been developed in response to the ongoing trend towards installations using different and complex cable variants in a single connector.

It combines a high packing density with ease of assembly and access for maintenance, and lends itself to automated production environments.

Han Easy-Hood is based on a size 24B hood, which is split vertically into two shells to allow a variety of assembly configurations.

It offers the potential for fast and secure wiring as pre-assembled inserts and cabling can be mounted to the hood as a separate operation and terminations can be visibly checked before the hood is closed.

The hood features a patented split rubber seal design with a strain-relief assembly that allows pre-assembled cables to be easily and securely mounted to the hood.

The unit is compatible with standard bulkhead or surface-mounting housings, and offers IP65 protection for use in harsh industrial environments.

The enlarged wiring space inside the hood, combined with the optimised side entry angle, make it particularly suited for applications near the floor in equipment such as robots, welders and injection moulding machines.
