A Harting product story

The RJ Industrial connector family has been recognised by Underwriters Laboratories, one of the world's leading compliance authorities.

The Harting RJ Industrial connector family has been recognised by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), one of the world's leading compliance authorities.

"UL recognition of this product range is an important step forward in our growth plans in the international marketplace", says Marketing Manager, Kevin Canham.

"Although UL recognition has traditionally been mainly requested by customers in the United States, the increasing globalisation of the electronics market means that this recognition is now just as important for users in Europe and Asia".

The Harting RJ Industrial connector family was specifically designed for use in Industrial Ethernet systems.

Included in this range is the world's only RJ connector, which can be attached to both solid and stranded Ethernet cables with a cross-section of AWG 22 using IDC technology.

The heart of the connector is the RJ45 data module, which incorporates four Harax insulation displacement contacts, to reliably connect Category 5e cables (AWG 22-24) or solid cables (AWG 22-23).

For Category 6 Gigalink applications, Harting also has a UL approved product to offer in IP20 to IP67.

It also meets the requirements for fast data networks as specified in IEEE802.3.
