Industrial connectors add Ethernet option

A Harting product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 3, 2007

Shielded industrial Ethernet module connects all eight data lines and fulfils Category 5e requirements.

A new RJ45 Ethernet module has been added to the Harting Han-Modular family of heavy-duty industrial connectors.

The new Han RJ45 module is a shielded Ethernet module that connects all eight data lines and fulfils Category 5e requirements.

The female module is designed as a gender-changer with two RJ45 jacks, and the male module is based on a cost-effective standard RJ45 plug.

Both parts are protected by a reliable plastic collar.

The established Han-Modular range from Harting is a highly flexible and diverse connector system that allows users to assemble connectors to their own special design requirements and configurations.

The range currently includes many modules for electrical or optical connections for signal or power, as well as pneumatic units, and is continuously being developed to meet a broader choice for customer requirements.
