Harting releases hinged protection cover

A Harting product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 8, 2008

Harting has extended its Han HPR range of industrial connector hoods and housings with a hinged element that removes the need for a separate cover.

It screws onto existing bulkhead mounting housings and protection covers to create a configuration with an integral hinged protection cover.

It locks into place in the vertical position when it is opened all the way and does not make contact with a locked hood, preventing damage caused by vibration to the surface of the hood.

An open cover locked in place reminds the user the protection cover must be closed and locked after the hood is removed.

The Harting Han HPR series of hoods and housings is used for electrical connections in vehicles and in applications with harsh environmental conditions or moisture, or where sensitive connections require protection or shielding.

The Han HPR bulkhead mounting housing is currently available from stock in size 16B.

Sizes 6B, 10B and 24B will soon be available.
