Hawco's lightweight side and base drum heating system combines low-energy power heating and insulation for maximum thermal efficiency.

The ideal method for melting or reducing the viscosity of soaps, fats, varnishes, printing inks and other oil based products, HAWCO's lightweight side and base drum heating system combines low-energy power heating and insulation for maximum thermal efficiency Side drum heating, for either 25, 50, 105 or 200 litre containers, is achieved rapidly, economically and safely with a water-resistant, flame-retardant polyurethane/nylon heater jacket, insulated with needled polyester and fitted with quick release buckles

200-450 Watts of heating power is delivered by the jacket's braided rope heater elements from either a 110 or 230V AC supply fed via a 3 metre crush-safe braided cable.

Jacket temperature is thermostatically controlled within a range of 0 - 90°C.

The base unit, manufactured from resilient-coated heavy gauge mild steel, houses a 900 Watt wire element, glass impregnated, silicone heater mat.

Insulated with 50mm rock wool, it provides a temperature range of 20 - 150°C, which is controlled by a capillary thermostat.

Power-on and load switching indicators are accessed via a rear control aperture.

Tested to be more thermally efficient than higher power units, the base heater features a special taper-edged platform to provide safe location of drums while in operation.

Both the HAWCO side drum heater jacket and the base drum heater units are CE marked and conform to EEC low voltage and EMC directives.
