A new immersion heater has been developed specifically for use in vending and catering applications.

A new immersion heater has been developed specifically for use in vending and catering applications.

The 316 stainless-steel cartridge construction has a welded end and a stainless steel bushing for easy installation in vending water tanks.

The units have been successfully used in aircraft galleys, meeting the tough aeronautical requirements, yet the cost is comparable to the more conventional tubular element heaters.

The heaters are available in many standard sizes; from 50mm long, 6mm diameter, to over 250mm long 25mm diameter, and from 130W up to 3kW.

Supply voltages of 110 and 230V AC and lower voltages are available.

The element construction is of a wire-wound coil inside a ceramic former, filled with magnesium oxide packing ensuring maximum heat transfer while preserving good dielectric qualities.

For really harsh conditions the lead end of the heater may be sealed against extreme environmental conditions.

All heaters are supplied with flying leads but options include rust resistant post terminals, and integral temperature sensor for control or over temperature protection.
