At 1.8kg, the new Jofra ETC, lightweight calibrator from Hawco brings a new meaning to field portability Designed for the testing and verification of temperature sensing devices, the ETC offers the instrumentation engineer a rugged toolbox sized instrument matching the specifications of much more expensive equivalents

With an accuracy of +/-0.5 to +/- 0.09C over a temperature range of -10 to +125 or, 28 to 400C, depending on the model chosen, the ETC series is designed for use when time is the major factor and the highest accuracy is not so critical.

A heat up and stabilisation time of only 3min enables a dual point test routine to be completed in under 10min.

The ETC incorporates the standard Jofra RS232 communication interface and Amecal-Light calibration software, which come installed, ready to use.

The heating block incorporates a novel design where the predrilled insertion holes for the temperature devices on test are located around a highly efficient element.

Unlike other calibrators there is no removable insert tube so reducing bulk and speeding heat up time.

There are two models in the series; the ETC 400A designed for optimum speed and stability and the ETC125A, which at an entry-level price is a simple and effective temperature checker, also suitable for below ambient temperatures such as air conditioning.

The easy to use controls incorporate one-key, one-function, so providing fast operation and doing away with the need for complicated menus.

For the first time high accuracy temperature verification comes at the price of a good quality multimeter.
