Sodium analyser assures water quality

A Hach Ultra Analytics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 24, 2006

Online industrial analyser allows sodium measurement to levels as low as 20 parts per trillion.

Hach Ultra has released the Polymetron 9245 sodium analyser.

Today, sodium concentration is recognised as one of the most important indexes for the analysis of water quality throughout the steam and water cycle in all power plants.

Power plant integrators and operators worldwide will benefit from the ease of use and simple maintenance this new trace level sodium analyser offers.

Online industrial performance allows sodium measurement to levels as low as 20 parts per trillion.

The analyser features automatic reactivation of the sodium electrode by use of a nonhazardous chemical injection ensuring optimum electrode operation even in ultra pure waters with continuously low sodium concentrations.

A fully automated calibration option is available to ensure accuracy and eliminate any risk of human error.

Manual calibration is also offered and a grab sample feature is included for off-line sampling.

This pre-mounted panel analyser simplifies design and commissioning of the SWAS (steam and water analysis system) panel, and its hydraulic design makes it suitable for samples with fluctuating pressure and flow.

The Polymetron 9245 has been designed to combine lowest cost of ownership with highest quality and performance.
