pH analyser supports the power industry

A Hach Ultra Analytics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 2, 2007

The Polymetron 9123 is part of Hach Ultra's range of on-line water chemistry analysers designed for the power industry.

Hach Ultra has released the Polymetron 9123, a system designed to calculate pH by differential conductivity.

This new instrument is part of Hach Ultra's range of on-line water chemistry analysers designed for the power industry.

The measurement of pH is crucial for corrosion control in water and steam circuits.

The Polymetron 9123 offers a pH calculation by differential conductivity for low-conductivity waters.

It measures conductivity before and after a cationic resin exchanger using high-performance sensors.

This provides the specific (total) conductivity and the acid (cation) conductivity.

An accurate pH value is provided without the constraints typically associated with conventional glass electrodes in low-conductivity applications.

Cationic conductivity is one of the most sensitive and reliable on-line means to detect contaminants such as chlorides, sulfates, nitrates and organic acids.

This instrument is available as an all-in-one panel analyser or single transmitter.

The Polymetron 9123 has been designed to combine lowest cost of ownership with highest quality and performance.
