System provides sensors with multiple channels

A Hach Ultra Analytics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 31, 2007

Hach Ultra's Orbisphere 510 offers a multi-channel capability for both thermal conductivity sensors measuring CO2 and N2 and for electrochemical sensors measuring O2.

Hach Ultra has released the Orbisphere 510, providing efficient 3 in 1 process monitoring.

This instrument offers a multi-channel capability for both thermal conductivity sensors measuring CO2 and N2 and for electrochemical sensors measuring O2.

This system has been designed for use in the liquid and gas phase.

With accurate O2 measurement critical for freshness and shelf life, and selective CO2 and N2 measurements key to effective CO2 application and recovery and gas balance for smooth, creamy beers the Orbisphere 510 finds multiple applications throughout the brewing process.

With an Orbisphere 510 instrument and up to three sensor inputs this system is very cost-effective.

Software is accessible through a full colour touch-screen allowing easy configuration of the instrument for process parameters and alarms.

A high level of accuracy and response time is obtained whilst ensuring reliable and effective process monitoring.

To assist with process investigations, data can be easily transferred using one of the digital communication standard protocols such as RS 485, Ethernet, USB or Profibus DP in addition to traditional analogue outputs.
