Sensor tolerates radiation exposure

A Hach Ultra Analytics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 18, 2007

Hach Ultra's Orbisphere G1200 luminescent sensor is suitable for monitoring dissolved oxygen in high-purity water applications for nuclear power plant water processes.

Hach Ultra has released the Orbisphere G1200 luminescent sensor.

This sensor is based on technology originally designed for fossil power generation plants.

It has been improved to optimise efficiency and durability in the presence of radiation, making it suitable for monitoring dissolved oxygen in high-purity water applications for nuclear power plant water processes.

The Orbisphere G1200 limits user exposure to radiation to five minutes annual service.

It offers traceable, fully automatic, in-situ calibration and is optimised for use on radioactive samples, with no interference from hydrogen.

The Orbisphere G1200 has a fully automatic calibration method and a dry sensor that requires no electrolytes, chemicals and no membrane.

It is simple to install and operate.
