The CP6300 industrial PC module from Hayes Control Systems is only 3in deep and so can easily be added to the back of one of the company's TFT display panels.
The versatile module allows the implementation of powerful industrial control systems with a full range of programmable controller and motion control functions.
Produced in Germany by Beckhoff, and available exclusively in the UK from Hayes Control Systems, the CP6300 PC module is specifically designed for industrial applications, and is particularly well suited for use with the Beckhoff TwinCAT software package, which provides real-time PLC and NC functionality.
As standard, the new PC module is equipped with a powerful Intel Celeron 700MHz processor, with a Pentium III option available for especially demanding applications.
To allow the module to be configured easily to suit the user's needs, two free slots - ISA or PCI - are available in a flat butterfly configuration.
Up to 512Mbyte of onboard RAM can be fitted, and the unit is supplied complete with a 10Gbyte hard disk drive.
Other features of this tiny, yet versatile, PC module include an integrated graphics adapter and interface for the display panel, onboard Ethernet, RS232 and USB interfaces, and a built-in power supply for operation from AC supplies in the range 100 to 240V.
Among the many options available for the unit are a CD-ROM or CD-RW drive, an uninterruptible power supply, and fieldbus interface adaptors.
Slimline CP6300 PC modules from Hayes Control Systems can be used in conjunction with all Beckhoff CP68XX-series display panels.
These are available with high-resolution 10, 12 or 15in colour screens and, according to type, can be supplied with integrated, sealed keypads and keyboards, together with pushbuttons, switches and LED indicators.
Touch-screen versions are also included in the range.
