Automated tube bending machinery maker Eurobend has reduced hardwiring, programming and the number of PLC units in machine build by using Hayes Control Systems' Beckhoff TwinCAT PC software
The BK9103 bus coupler integrates the modular Bus Terminal system as a slave in the Profinet network.
The Profinet-certified BK9103 features an integrated two-port Ethernet switch, which enables flexible topology configuration.
For example, the I/O nodes can be configured with a line topology, instead of the traditional star topology.
This reduces the wiring effort in many applications, leading to a significant reduction in installation costs.
The BK9103 bus coupler supports Profinet RT.
It is addressed via a DIP switch, meaning that the BK9103 does not require a memory card for storing the address name and no additional configuration software is required.
Profinet is now available for additional Beckhoff product ranges.
The IP67 Fieldbus Box family supports the industrial Ethernet version with the IL230x-B903 coupler box.
The Profinet device interface for the TwinCAT automation software makes the CX Embedded PCs from Beckhoff Profinet-capable.
