Huber+Suhner has developed a novel antenna cable for data recording and transmission on trains.

Huber+Suhner has developed a novel antenna cable for data recording and transmission on trains.

The Eurobalise antenna cable is highly flexible, mechanically resistant and can be installed under the car frame as well as under the bogie.

With its small diameter Eurobalise is ideal for tight spaces.

The new antenna cable, which has been developed together with main train manufacturers, is an integral part of ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System).

It energises the Eurobalise antenna and sends signals from the track balise back to an onboard decoder for data recording.

Meeting all main European safety standards, Eurobalise antenna cable can be used in trains all over Europe.

Designed using lightweight materials, the cable easily withstands constant flexing and vibration.

Other product features include: databus pairs, analogue pairs, low smoke emission under fire conditions and halogen-free materials.

The Eurobalise antenna cable is part of Huber+Suhner's extensive range of traction cables for all rail applications.

It is already being used by train manufacturers such as Bombardier, Alstom and Siemens.
