The newly developed U5 force transducer is convincing not simply from the measuring point of view, but also because of the practical fitting advantages for the user.

Focused on use in harsh industrial environments, the U5 has been designed as a robust transducer that even tolerates additional transverse forces and bending moments.

Due to its optimised sensor geometry a low overall height could be realised.

Mounting the transducer directly to existing machine parts is extremely easy and does not require any additional parts for load introduction.

Thanks to its flange connection with centring, the U5 also has advantages over transducers with central inside thread.

The flange connection facilitates mounting due to small wrench torques for screws that still can be applied manually.

It can be centred on both sides thus ensuring optimum axial force flux and avoiding defective mounting.

The U5 force transducer is ideally fit for use in test benches, press-fit devices, presses and other industrial applications.

It is available with nominal forces of 100, 200 and 500kN, for compressive and tensile force measurements, and either with a permanently fitted cable or an integral plug connection.

The comprehensive range of accessories from HBM also includes mounting accessories such as compressive and tensile force adapters and maintenance-free knuckle eyes.
