Amplifier system integrates computing
power

HBM's ML70 programmable module for its MGCplus amplifier system processes measurements in real time and makes computed quantities available to other systems over a wide choice of connections.

HBM's ML70 programmable module for its MGCplus amplifier system processes measurements in real time and makes computed quantities available to other systems over a wide choice of connections Previously there were two possible solutions for measuring and recording physical quantities: either the data could be imported into a PC, processed and then output through an I/O card, or external hardware, such as DSP boards, had to be used

The ML70 overcomes the disadvantages of both these alternatives which lack flexibility at the port connection level with an increase in costs and a reduction in overall system reliability.

The new module offers real-time data processing and provides a wide range of interfaces to other systems.

It is programmed using the international standard PLC language IEC61131-3 and the CoDeSys program development system of 3S-Soft.

Every MGCplus system channel can be processed.

This includes data imported via CANbus or Profibus.

The IEC program created by the user is processed in every measurement clock cycle.

Computed results can be output as a measurement signal over a wide range of interfaces including serial, parallel, Ethernet, CAN, Profibus etc.

The ML70 also supports general parameter assignment.

CoDeSys can define and create dialogs for use in the MGCplus' AB22A display and control panel and the "setup assistant" configuration program. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
