UK's first "Lean Line" gets HBM control
Six month payback is expected following the installation of HBM monitoring equipment for the press-fit routines in a new type of automated production line.
Using the library enables amplifiers to be configured easily and measurement runs to be defined, realised and automated intuitively.
Measured values can be visualised in real time or after the measurement if, for example, a measurement log is required.
The system has additional options for evaluating data and developing customised applications.
An advantage to system integrators is that they can continue to use familiar programming software tools such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi and LabView.
They will also be able to use catman's high-level functions to facilitate communication with HBM amplifiers.
The library subdivides functions into the following groups: data acquisition and device configuration; data evaluation and mathematics; and data management and file manager.
The catman ActiveX library is particularly valuable to programmers that use LabView together with HBM's MGCplus amplifier as it replaces the previous driver that required detailed knowledge of the MGCplus system. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
