The U3 force transducer from HBM has been designed to withstand lateral forces and bending moments caused by the weight of connected machine parts that can lead to measurement errors.

A supporting membrane is welded parallel to the measuring element through an outer ring that enables lateral forces of up to 100 per cent of the nominal (rated) force to be absorbed.

This means that only the force applied in the measurement direction is recorded giving the transducer greater accuracy.

The U3 force transducer is available in eight measuring ranges covering 0.5kN to 100kN.

The design is compact and includes flanged force application surfaces to make installation easy.

Suitable for industrial and R and D applications, the U3 force transducer is ideal for synchronous force and displacement measurements found, for example, in fitting processes on automated production lines.
