Load cell has certification in the bag
UK manufacturer Tascol Shore Engineering has included HBM's Z6 load cell in the design of its automatic gravimetric weighing equipment enabling the company to gain OIML R61 certification.
UK manufacturer Tascol Shore Engineering has included HBM's Z6 load cell in the design of its automatic gravimetric weighing equipment enabling the company to gain OIML R61 (International Organisation of Legal Metrology) certification The accuracy of the load cell means that the equipment conforms to European standards for legal bagging and can be sold throughout the EU

Tascol Shore's range of net automatic gravimetric weighing equipment works with the product being fed into an upper hopper supported by three Z6 load cells to check the weight.
Once the target weight is achieved a controller opens the discharge door at the base of the hopper to dump the product in the bag.
The accuracy of HBM's Z6 load cell means that the legal weight in the hopper of its 1 to 10kg model can be increased to 12.5kg.
This has allowed one end user to improve productivity by a third when filling larger bags with 25kg products as they can now be filled with only two dumps from the hopper.
Previously this operation took three dumps from the hopper or 50% longer.
The bagging equipment achieves between six and eight operations a minute.
Notes Peter Shore, Tascol Shore's Director: "Gaining the R61 certification, thanks to the high accuracy of the Z60 load cell, means that the whole of the European market is now open to us".
Tascol Shore's bag weighing equipment can be used in different configurations including a gravity feeder, screw feeder or belt feeder.
Multiple feed devices can be attached although actuators are interlocked to ensure that only one feeder is operable at any time.
Tascol Shore's weighing systems are designed to handle a wide range of bagged substances including fertiliser products, aggregates, foodstuffs and animal feed.
The machines can be manufactured using type 316 stainless steel and are fitted with either an automatic or manual sack placing line operating underneath the weigher.
Tascol Shore makes a wide range of bagging and weighing equipment including belt and continuous weighing, batch weighing and micro ingredients.
Shore comments: "Thanks to our ongoing investment in product development, Tascol Shore has stayed at the very front of the highly competitive bagging field". Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
