Load cells are optimised for dynamic
systems
The FIT series of single-point load cells features an improved mechanical design and integrated electronics to meet the needs of dynamic weighing, dosing and filling systems.
HBM has developed its FIT (Fast Intelligent Transducer) series of single-point load cells by improving the mechanical design and integrated electronics to meet the needs of dynamic weighing, dosing and filling systems FIT load cells are designed with a very efficient trigger function to meet the needs of checkweighers for event-controlled weighing while fully configurable I/Os give a high degree of control over the load cells' functionality

The digital signal processing has been improved with fast transient digital filters allowing highly accurate and rapid dynamic measurement.
To meet the demands for sorting and grading products rapidly, FIT has two limit value switches including hysteresis.
FIT also provides full dosing control of coarse and fine feed valves and automatic optimisation of dosing parameters.
A graphics function in the software shows the behaviour of the dynamic weighing signal over time to optimise, for example, the dosing process.
A laser-welded stainless steel housing, conforming to IP66 standards, gives the FIT load cell excellent rigidity and allows the load cell be used in aggressive environments, such as in the food industry where solvents are frequently present.
The ratio of minimum verification interval (OIML R60) to maximum capacity is 10,000 giving a very accurate load cell.
FIT is designed to withstand an overload of 1000% of the load cell's maximum capacity.
Bidirectional overload stops and an integrated lift-off securing device provide overload protection in all directions.
The software supplied with FIT enables the user to configure parameters and make a cost-effective analysis of the mechanical system.
The integrated FFT analysis tool allows resonance frequencies in the mechanical structure to be detected and the effects of different filters assessed.
FIT can be supplied with either an RS232 or a four-wire RS485 interface that allows up to 90 load cells to be connected to a single bus.
Transmission speeds of up to 38,400baud can be achieved through the serial interface and all parameters can be configured using the interface.
Parameters are stored on an EEPROM enabling them to be automatically restored in the event of a power loss. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
