Cable connection bushing aids on-site
repairs

The KVM cable connection bushing from HBM has been developed for repairing transducer connection cables and can be used to extend transducer cables while saving costs.

The KVM cable connection bushing from HBM has been developed for repairing transducer connection cables and can be used to extend transducer cables while saving costs when compared with alternative methods Made from a hydrolysis-resistant casting resin, the KVM is insensitive to water or humidity in the cable even during curing

The short curing time - typically some 15 minutes - enables the connection bonds rapidly while ensuring excellent electrical and mechanical characteristics.

By comparison, heat shrinkable tubes frequently used today achieve neither the mechanical strength nor the typical insulation values of 5Gohm required for strain gauge transducers.

This robust KVM cable connection is recommended for use in harsh conditions such as found at construction sites.

By using the KVM for on-site repairs the high cost of replacing the transducer can be avoided. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
