MGCplus gets calibration on-site

A HBM product story

HBM introduces mobile calibration service for MGCplus systems to save users the down-time costs of removing and transporting measurement equipment for calibration.

HBM has introduced a mobile calibration service for its MGCplus systems to save users the down-time costs of removing and transporting measurement equipment for calibration.

Certified companies are required to calibrate their equipment at regular intervals but this can cause problems because measurement devices must be permanently available and, in many cases, are integrated into a system and cannot easily be sent to an external calibration laboratory.

With this service, an engineer visits the site where the MGCplus device is fitted to calibrate the device in place.

This is achieved using a compact calibration tower that holds the relevant calibration standards needed for the MGCplus amplifier system.

The calibration tower lets the service engineer produce a working standard calibration certificate showing an OK or not OK statement for each measurement channel.

It shows a graphic display of the absolute deviations inside the permissible limits.

The mobile calibration service is a fully automatic process allowing the calibration to take place when the MGCplus is not in use, for example during system maintenance.
