This is a central location with good motorway access and plenty of parking on-site.
The free sessions on offer include the following.
"Data acquisition - the measurement chain" will provide an introduction to measurements using strain gauges, strain transducers for the measurement parameters force and torque, amplifiers - function of carrier frequency/DC measuring amplifiers, resolution and A/D conversion, measurement uncertainty etc.
"Measuring torque" will examine measurement methods and structure of torque spring bodies, terms and definitions, selection criteria for torque transducers, torque transducers as a measurement system, calibration and measurement uncertainty etc.
"Weighing technology" will cover the basics of loadcells, basics of weighing technology, dynamic weighing, service notes and more.
And "Catman Enterprise" will look at system configuration, data acquisition and analysis, optical FBG and control systems, trend assessment and applications.
In conjunction with the free sessions HBM is also offering a number of chargeable workshops.
A strain gauge workshop will cover the basics of strain gauges, strain gauge signal conditioning, connection of the strain gauge to an amplifier, signal digitisation and data acquisition, rosette installation, measurement principal stress etc.
And a CatmanAP workshop will look at data acquisition and graphical analysis, real-time math function, adaptation and sensor DB, video analysis, analysis and automation, AutoSequence etc. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
