Junction box compensates for scale errors

A HBM UK product story

Box features an integrated resistor network for precise off-centre load compensation in scales.

The latest design of HBM's VKK1-4 junction box features an integrated resistor network for precise off-centre load compensation in scales.

The junction boxes are used for connecting four strain-gauge (SG) load cells and need only three steps to get results: first, load the scale corners; secondly, read the correction value from diagram; thirdly, activate the balancing resistor.

Additional features include EMC-compliant cable glands for cable diameters ranging from 4 to 6.5mm.

HBM has devised a shielding design that provides full EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) in compliance with the EN45501 standard or the international OIML R76 guide.

Special EMC-compliant cable glands for diameters up to 7.5mm are also available.

These enable cables with larger diameters to be used for connection to the scale electronics over longer distances.
